What compound do I use to fill the hook grooves on a Depth Raider?

I use JB weld to fill the holes after they wear all the way through.
Seems to work good.

I trolled my Depth raiders so much last year that the hook grooves got so deep that they wore right through the bait. They then took on water and don't troll good then. I put epoxy in the grooves and they worked great again. I even Teed the hooks and they still wore through.
They did catch most of my fish though nothing else was even close. Tracy

Do like they said above, leave them alone untill they wear through. I lost me favorite depth raider 2 seasons ago, had about 30 fish to it's credit. I have another with about 20, those grooves give that bait character.

epoxy --- 2 ton Devon found at Walmart around $2.

For a quick fix you might try the 5 minute Devon. 5 minute Devon may dis-color. So, I would use 2 ton Devon. 2 ton Devon is what some use to coat their custom lures. That's what I'm planning to use when I paint a lure.

Rock-set also works great, plus its sandable, paintable and drillable!
