The Pin Point motors were well made and held up OK, but there were complicated, and had alot that could go wrong that other electrics didn't feature. MotorGuide took them over, and adopted much of the Pin Point technology into the line. I would trust them to service the product; I know several of the folks down ther and they are top shelf.
