Posts: 4266 | I've seen older HR's that just said HR. The oldest dated ones that I have are'00. I also have brand new ones that just say HR. Beav

| Plitzzz, Jim's baits pre '00 are not labelled with a year as Beaver mentioned. And all the new ones made from the end of last year until now, do not have a year on them either. I believe yours is likely a '99 from the inagural HR year. | |||

Posts: 128 Location: Germantown, WI | I spoke with a guy at the chicago show that insisted on getting HR's with dates. Is there a noticable difference between those and the new undated baits? (just bought one from Pastika's Friday night

Posts: 502 Location: Lincoln UK | I certainly don't have a hundred but my earlier ones seem to have a definate edge over the later models. The early ones are what his reputation were built on and I can only see that an effort to get baits out to meet orders later could have had a detrimental effect on the baits, maybe not mass production but he certainly put more baits out faster after say '02. What I have never come to terms with are the sink rates of the HR's,all seem to be totally different. That can be used to your advantage but I have never seen anything that states a sink rate or am I missing something. Picked up some clevis pin Hugheys last month and they made my other Hughey's ( screw-eye models) look bad.

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | OK, I was not going to admit this as my first post was a lie. I did date an HR. Yes, I was a little over my skis on rum and cokes but I am man enough to admit it. Unfortunately, I also have the hook rash to show for it.
