Hello I have a couple of these and have yet to use them. They have instant anti-reverse, but there seems to be play in the whole hand, meaning if I hold the reel still, I can move the hand column a bit. Is this normal? On both this seems to be the case. Thanks hard to explain though...Ben

Ben,

If you're only getting play when it's in your hand, that's not a good thing. I'd cash-in the reels and invest in flowers, maybe a weekend getaway, even booze if you have to. Do whatever it takes, man.

tighten the nut on the reel handle a bit too, as that was a problem for me on those. Also, in the past few years there was an upgrade to the one way roller bearing. Not sure if this will help you, but it did tighten mine up a bit, though it still has a slight amount of 'play'.
