Drove past a spot in the river that I fish from time to time that had open water today... The off-season sucks..

Who's planning to head south to KY or IL in the next few months to chase Muskies?

I didn't think I was going to get there this spring but may have to re-think that a little.

I plan on meeting my brother in law from Georgia in Kentucky for the first weekend in april. Talked with Greg Thomas and he has no openings. I really do not want to trailer my boat down for a day and a half of fishing unless i really have to. Still looking for someone to fish with down there, that does not mind a little trash talkin, and my brother in laws rookie side slingin'. I think I'd like to try the Green River area. any guides out there with a day open? I could trade a trip for you to come up here to WI, or pay with my brother in laws money, makes no difference.

I would love to get south soon. It looks like the end of March is going to be the first chance for me in 2005.

I almost stopped down at my local river today to try some new baits out. The JJ ZIPPER will unleased soon.

No shameless plugs here, Kinkaid is open for business!
I caught my first January fish this year, a fat 38" on Jan. 10th!!!
I know for a fact that Chad Cain, and Al Nutty are taking whole and half days on Kinkaid right now.
The last time I was out was last Monday, and the water temp was 42 degrees! That's a long way from being hard.
I'll help anybody out if I can.

Mark,

The MuskieFIRST Cave outing is last week March, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with some leaving Saturday to be home for Easter.

With a warming trend coming this week, think I will hit a local creek and make a few casts, season still open here in Pa.

I'll be heading South way South this coming Sunday. The wife and I are heading to Grand Cayman for a week of R&R and some deep sea fishing 85 degrees and sunny down there yesterday
