Well Folks,

The first muskie of the 2005 season made its way into the Frabill today. On January 19th, at 2:30 pm, my roommate, Matt Snyder, boated his first muskie ever, a 42 incher. I have a guide trip planned for tomorrow, and needed to go out to Kinkaid to do a little scouting. I really just was looking for baitfish, and how deep they were. We found a big school in 60 feet of water, about 25 feet down. We dropped a couple Fuzzy Duzzits down, and after maybe one minute of vertical jigging, Matt banged the 42". I don't know how to attach photos here on this site, but I put them up on my website at www.chadcain.com

Congrats to Matt, and what a great way to start the year off. Now I just hope we have some luck tomorrow while I'm guiding.

Rodney the Barber and I had the same experience A week ago Monday. It sure was a nice way to start the day, but it was a long day after that. I'll take one fish a day this time of year any time. I plan on dropping the cannonballs next time I hit the water. Later

Chad,
I bet Matt was pumped up about catching a Fattie, kind of takes the sting out of a rotten duck season.
Hope you guys nail a few tomorrow!

Great fish in the dead of winter, Chad! I'm at the Minneapolis Boat Show, and it's snowing. Alot.

To post a picture, just edit the photo to under 200KB and check 'attach a file after posting'. Upload the photo from wherever you have it stored, a floppy, a folder, a media card, etc.
