I doubt if I fish MI tournament in April. I don't belong to MI.
However, I plan to fish a lot this year and will be more than willing to share my experiences and trips. Although Pomme De Terre (MO) is not well known in the muskie world, there should be a lot of mid 30 inch to upper 30 inch this next year.
I know a lot of fishermen don't get excited over this, but this year should be a good year to catch a number of quantity fish with hopes of catching one around 50 inches. I'm waiting to catch the big one around Martin's flats.
If I had the money, I'd enter the (money) cave run and pomme de terre tournaments. Look for the winners to go up stream at the mouths of creeks at cave run and get lucky at pomme de terre.....or fish around old point 9.
I have a travel trailer at the lake and plan to fish at least twice a month beginning in March. If you get a chance to fish in March, try the back of coves off Becker arm throwing Smithwick
Rouges (silver/black). Twitch a couple of times and stop, repeat....bass love it....and who knows, you might catch a 7 pounder....look out.
Anyway, good luck and let me know when I should be fishing.
