Posts: 1939 Location: Black Creek, WI | I can't make it to the Chicago Show this year and will have to spend my $$$$ in Milwaukee instead. How do these two shows compare? Will I be missing anything by not making it to Chicago? jlong

It is possible to miss people like the widowmaker booth will most likely be at the chicago show again but he does not do the milwaukee one. There are booths at the milwaukee show who do not do chicago as well. Since shep moved north and he was the person who set up the swap, will there be a milwaukee swap this year?

| people actually buy things in Chicago,,,In Milwaukee you dont see has many people walking around carrying things,,,,You have to pay for parking in Milw,,,In Chicago you get a full size poolside, You seemto get more "show" deals on things in Chi,,,,and best of all Chicago deep dish pizza!!!!! | |||

The Milwaukee show has better user friendly facilities including bathrooms, food service, and beverage service (beer) that Chicago seems to struggle with. It will be less crowded so you aren't constantly brushing up against someone. Milwaukee doesn't have a pool, but it will have the Musky Demo Tank there for the same purpose. I usually go to both as the Chicago show is the 1st show of the year and it is hard to pass up after not fishing since November! Landy Roepke

Hwy. 100 (nortbound) is the first exit off I-94, west of the Zoo Interchange. You need scaffolding to get up to the top of their deep dish pizza! I tried to use a ladder, but it kept sinking into the cheese! I'll miss that ladder! They might even have a branch operation in that southern suburb of Milwaukee, Chicago!

Actually it was voted the best pizza place in milwaukee, not usre by whome but I did see the artlicle. Joe, I am sure shep will want to join your musky club now that he is up there by you. Setting up the swap could be his prerequisite for joining every year! Edited by ToddM 12/25/2004 12:37 AM

Posts: 5874 | I'll be going to the Milwaukee show for sure. I must heckle Dave Dorazio during his seminar. Also, will probably be staying overnight, and will make the call to set up the swap meet at the same motel. Seemed to work out well last year, once everyone figured out the food was for us, and the balloons weren't for some wedding rehearsal! Todd, already joined the Club! Would like to make the Chitown show, but will probably still be unpacking stuff.
