One week to the Holidays, so what are your plans? I take the time between Christmas and New Years off so I'm ready for about 4 straight months of sport shows. Sue and I are icefishing a couple days, I'll be hunting snowshoe bunnies with Brian a day or two, and will be going to Butternut where Keith is Creeling for a day or two of walleye tip-up fishing. Christmas Eve will be here in front of the fire, and Christmas day the same.

New Year's Eve isn't a big deal for us, so I'll probably be bow hunting or chasing 'eyes on Minocqua until dark, then sitting in front of the fire for the rest of the evening!

What are your plans?

I have off next week, I pick up my kids tomorrow for the whole week. Just hanging out and having fun, will take a trip over to running_hot's dad's train store and have the neighbor kids over every day too.

Looks like we've finally received a good flight of birds out here in Montana, should be some good shooting over the holidays. Heading back to see the family in Wisconsin and do a few sportshows in mid-January. Can't wait for my Montana Christmas at KFC.

The next two weeks, mostly spending at family events and a few quiet days with my two girls. Also hoping to musky fish in IN or S IL once more before the end of the year if schedules work out. Looking forward to the upcoming outdoor shows to hopefully get to know many of you better!

Headed to the Gereenbay game today with some fishing clients from that area. THat usually kicks off the holiday season for me.Will spend the rest of the season with the family and a few Christmas parties. NO place better at Christmas time than the northwoods in front of a big fire.

I have a wonderful wife, she rented a cabin in Morganton NC on a muskie lake for a week. She has family there. It just so happens my brother in law wants to learn to catch muskies and has a new triton he wants to show me. He claims a 60" fish was released in the lake last spring, " is that a good one?" he says. I suppose I could be dragged out for no more than 12 hours a day for bulk of the week. Have a happy and safe holiday season!

Hey Jonesi, if you don't stop by I'll hunt you down and kick your hinder. Bring the kids, too, so I can meet your family, dude. Hwy 8 East, about 5 miles from city center, 1/4 mile past the Hwy C exit. Big grey house on the North side of the road, Foster Lane. No excuses.

Spending time with extended family this year in Bozeman, Montana.

After reading his post, I might have to stop by and spread holiday cheer by visiting the SloanRanger...KFC for Christmas dinner is just plain wrong!

Good chicken but, wrong nonetheless!

Have safe trips, good times and be Merry!

Well...some plans have been fulfilled already. Was up in Ashland WI area over the weekend for early crhistmas with the in-laws. Good time, but man I wished I brought the ice fishing gear. I had 2 days straight where I could have gone. I was very unsure about going due to how warm things have been and the amount of snow on the ice in the area. But sure...the cold comes, the ice is thick enough, and I was stuck. I even saw a truck just out of Amery on the ice...Yes...A TRUCK on the ice.

Tomorrow will be at my father's place for my family's christmas...dinner, home made ice cream, and fun with everyone. Then...at 4:30 A.M. on the 25th, it's off to Florida for a week. Little bit of golf, a little watching of hockey....(I know...I could have watched that here in a state where hockey belongs, but it's a tournament we were invited to go to for St. Cloud State)

Checked into some tarpon fishing or Bass, but way too expensive.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season. Seasons Greetings from my family to yours!!

Finish relubing tipups tommorrow morning, while getting venison marinated, and shrimp sauce made for wifes parents, my parents, my brother and sister to enjoy over a nice warm beating of the Vikings. church at 6:00 PM tommorrow night. Ice fishing for pike with my wife and dad on Christmas day, and most likely the day after and the one after that.

Our family had an early Christmas on Saturday, it was the only day that worked for all of us. I have plans tomorrow night with the fiance's family and then I start my seven night stretch on Christmas Eve. At least I have off for New Year's, tha'ts the absolute worst night of the year to work in an ER.
