Posts: 194 Location: Southwest PA | grichard and myself were lucky enough to get out Saturday before old man winter showed his ugly face today. Hopefully old man winter decides to hit the snooze button for a few days so we can get out over the holidays. We were only out for 4 hours and got 2 fish in the boat, a 40 and a 36. I lost one at the boat and grichard had 2 others follow a Bull Dawg, he just couldnt entice either one to eat it. Posts: 194 Location: Southwest PA | Joe, My fish was caught on a blue and silver while Gary caught his a on motor oil. Both Bull Dawgs were the regular 9 inch. I've caught fish on the black and orange, but the blue and silver seems to work better. For me the Bull Dawgs seem to work better in cold water than anything else. The only thing I can tell you is try different retreives until you find what the fish is looking for. The Bull Dawg is a very versatile lure, it can be used like a jig, like a jerkbait, you can reel it in fast keeping it just below the surface, you can let it sink and work it across the bottom if you wish. It will catch fish all the different ways you retreive it, you just need to find out the fish is looking for. Rich W | ||

Posts: 194 Location: Southwest PA | Mr Pike You'll need to go to the Cave Run Outing to see if you can get the sponge plate off of grichard. I can tell you this, your going to need to fish awful hard to get it. If you've never been to one of the muskiefirst outing, you dont know what your missing! We had a great time. I know once we get hard water here the Cave Run Outing wont come fast enough. I know Teck has said he's done until Cave Run, I'd go out of my mind waiting that long to get back on the water.
