Location: Winnipeg Manitoba | Since someone decided they liked my boat more than I did and stole it from my driveway last month I've been shopping. I've been considering a 17 1/2 foot lund with a 50 horse 4-stroke tiller. Given the price of fuel, economy is a consideration as is price. I've also always liked the control and floor space of a tiller. What do you guys think? |

| I have had both and currently have a tiller. I love it..........BUT, i also do not fish on giant lakes alot and have a need for the protection a console gives you. Consoles are more confortable but i dont have a problem with comfort on a tiller so that is a plus. The extra room is huge for me. It all depends on preference. |

| I just picked up a 18" tundra DC and it is the only way for me to fish.
Sure, you give up some space but make up for ir in comfort. I fish Lake Michigan (Coho's and Kings) in the early spring and late fall. Inland waters I fish are no less than 5,000 acres so I want a dry and comfrotable ride for everyone aboard my boat. Keep in mind the waters you will be fishingand when you will be out there. |
