| I need some advice from you veteran winter muskie hunters. I fish the Fox River in IL throughout the year, I live next to it. Anyway, during the winter months what types of techniques do you use and what type of structure/cover do you look for?
The stretch of the river I fish is shallow. It is not much more than 6 feet deep in the deepest spots.
I will be fishing it, if it is not frozen, January, February and early March.

| Depth is very adequate, but look for slow water, wood, and current breaks. They are still muskies and very much like to control the access points at the top and bottom of the pool. Think of them as "welfare politicians", not willing to work for a living and looking for a free lunch.
