I will be on the water tonight, all day Thanksgiving, and then I have to guide Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Anybody else hitting the water on Thanksgiving?

Good luck to all that are going out!

Definately have to try for the last push, its supposed to get cold but I think for 5-6 days left its worth the numb fingers.
Going to hit her hard before the hard hits us.
Then on to ice fishing

Going to get out this afternoon time permitting. Then it will be nip and tuck with open water for the rest of the weekend. Too many months of hard water coming up to miss these last couple of days.

Lots of clothes and handwarmers are a must right now!!

Me and the FIANCE (its official and everything now) will be on the water in Indy Friday and Saturday, barring horrible weather that is.

FYI....stairing out my folk's window at Webster....looking at white caps, 15-20mph winds, horizontal rain. Not to mention wind chill is upper 20's low 30's. Personally going to wait until Friday to give it a shot. Good luck to all that give it a shot today....you crazy bastards.

I will be hitting the water as much as possible over the next few days. I just posted a report on the fishing reports page and it looks like I should be able to find open water between now and the season close. Good luck all and have a good holiday.

Hurry Pete, I got an email this morning from my neighbor up there that said he was fishing last night off a pier and was watching the lake freeze as he was casting.

Hulbert, if you are planning to drag suckers you better import some from OH or bring a leash and a dog collar for the suckers you will buy in North Webster. Unless they get a shipment Wednesday the only size they have are big enough to feed a family, I'm talking 18" minimum up to about 28"!!!

Yes, I had that experience two days ago on Dam Lake. I could hear the ice crackling as it was forming up in one of the bays. Doesn't look like I'll get on the water today due to business stuff but will manage to drive to a couple lakes to scout things out for tomorrow.
