I currently own a 16' Sea Nymph that has a 15 hp Johnson on it. This motor runs AWESOME and flawlesly and is the most reliable motor I've every had experience with and the thing will scoot when it's just me in the boat. However, once I ad another person, three people, the thing barely gets out of it's own way. The boat's rated to a 35 hp.

I'm looking for a 30-35 hp short shaft tiller.

Should I stick with Johnson or should I look to something else?

How are the Mercurys now adays? Yamahas?

What's reliable these days? Best bang for the buck, etc.?

Anyone know of any place that may have a 30-35 hp short shaft tiller available? I'm in Indianapolis, IN.

Wasn't necessarily wanting to buy brand new, was looking for used first...
