| Just wondering how the anglers that fish it feel about the travel involved in fishing it. If schedule mentioned on another post is correct. Wish I am not sure it is. Its says minnesota and I believe northern minnesota (not sure ok) New york cave run eagle river missouri Just seems at a glance its more then other years. Pfeiff | |||

| Don; When you find out where in Minnesota let me know. If it's the big V. that would be great. John | |||

| I seriously doubt it would be there as it would take a huge number of judge boats. Also The people there were not happy about meshikomers and I believe his will be there again. Not 100% sure but thats what I am hearing. guess no one has any thought on this. John want to hit pewaukee this weekend. Drag a few suckers and cast? Pfeiff | |||

| I don't mind the travel but they do need to work on the payout. The cost of travel is not cheap. I'd rather see the entry higher if they can make a better payout for 1-20 | |||

Posts: 197 Location: N Illinois | Good question Don. I have thought about that too. All 9 hour or more travel times for me except for Eagle River. I do like the addition of a new lake, but otherwise it looks like the same old lakes. I doubt I fish the PMTT next year. I think if Bob M has another tourny, I'll spend the big bucks to win big bucks. Mike Quinn

| Just a suggestion guys... wait until they announce the full schedule and what they have planned for 2005. As stated above this is a national trail. I agree it deserves national attention and better payouts. I think that is the PMTT's goal. Steve What do I know I sell hunks of wood? | |||

Posts: 197 Location: N Illinois | Most of the schedule was announced at the championship. Cave Run, Pom de terre, Eagle River. Rumor at the championship is a stop in Minn or New York or both. Thats alot of traveling for 2/3 full fields with lower payouts. The WMT is looking like an option also. We'll see. I keep hearing rumors of BIG changes coming for the PMTT. We will see.

| I asked this as I was curious what others thought. I don't want to drive 11 or 12 hours to fish in 2/3 full field. It affects the payouts too much and the champioship payout. I just felt even though a national tournament you have to go where you can fill them. Last time a qualifier was held in new york and st claire there was not much of a local turnout from the anglers in those areas. I know it was early on and just getting started but it made me think. We will see, thanks for the replys. Pfeiff | |||

| WMT Seemed to have problems filling the field also. At the finals this year the payout was supose to be $10,000.00 plus boat. They ended up giving the boats out but they did discount the payouts. Didn't seem quite fair fishing the finals for less than the amount that was posted on the web site. It seems that the tournaments are having a hard time getting sponsors to help promote these tournaments. I don't want the tournaments to fail. I think most that fish them like the thrill and the friends they make during them. Maye we can fish for gas cards! All kidding aside. The tournament need sponsors that see a worth to our sport. If we cannot show them how they can profit from it they will not want anything to do with us. Its all business when money is involved. | |||
