Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | I have a very good friend who is more a "wet sock"..er.. I mean a walleye fisherman, but does a minor amount of muskie fishing. He is looking to go to Leech Lake with a group of 14-16 for a week next summer. He would like to hire a guide for 6 days. The guide would rotate through the group over those 6 days. They are mostly interested in walleye fishing, but would like a couple of days pursuing "real fish" muskies! Could you guys give me some ideas of quality guides and their contact information. Thanks. | Dan Craven is an excellent - honest multispecies guide. (email me for his phone # & email address, I don't know if he wants them on the internet.) Al Moss is also excellent. (Don't have his #) Edited by muskiemachinery 9/23/2004 7:13 PM | |||

| Craven, Craven and Dan Craven- would be my top three, in that order. He's the pro's pro. | |||

| Another vote for Murph....my dad and I hired him this summer to help learn the lake a bit, and were not disappointed. Murph took the time to show us a number of different spots and presentations that helped us set up a milk run for the week, as well as taking time after the trip to mark a map with a number of additional spots that we didn't have time to hit the day we were with him. Top of the line boat, equipment and service....oh, and we got some musky slime in the boat as well. Eric | |||
