Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | How did you do out there this weekend? We didn't make it out chasing Muskies, but spent alittle time catching panfish and relaxing.

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | The long weekend topped off one of the best weeks I've seen in many years on Pelican. The fish were very cooperative eating a variety of baits but seemed to have a preference for TopRaiders and Shallow Invaders. Hopefully my patterns will hold over for one more week during the Lakeview Tourney. Here's 2 of the 8 We boated over the last four trips. Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Fish were rockin for me also this past weekend. Trolling, casting top water and bucktails worked all weekend. Saturday was outstanding with Tuffy1. We scored 4 muskies from 8pm till midnight(see Extreme 49.5 post). Sunday I had clients that scored a 40-incher on top water. Monday I put two more fish in the boat(37 1/2 and 38-inch). Fish just seem like they are getting into the fall pattern already. I can't wait till they really turn on. Here is a couple picks if you missed the Extreme 49.5 post by Shep. Posts: 354 | The first time out this weekend was early yesterday morning. Very windy with lots of rain on and off. Some of the rain was coming down in sheets. Caught a beautiful tiger 35" on a musky stalker crankbait. Later my fishing partner caught a 36" over 41 feet of water on a Magnum sized bulldawg, motor oil. Marked a lot of fish about 10 ft down and she came up and ate it about 15' from the boat. The suspended fish bite this summer has been pretty interesting. I haven't done a lot of it due mainly to a lack of faith in it, but I'm learning to trust my electronics over open water. Tips from many of you about not worrying about getting baits deep has helped too. I guess Bob Ellis was right about the most active fish being up high anyhow. Bill C. aka the greenduck

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | Hit the mercer area, got a pike on saturday, spent the night in the emergency room in minoqua with chest pains and a numb left side of my neck and face, they found nothing wrong and caught 5 really nice bass sunday eve. My mom was screwing around with my camera and took video instead of pictures of the bass so I can't post them. Seen one musky all weekend. Edited by ToddM 9/7/2004 8:32 PM

Posts: 1245 Location: Madtown, WI | That is a cool Pic Kevin!! Was up north and hit a few new lakes..ended up getting a 39 on friday. Sat didn't fish a ton...and fished at the wrong times. Sunday we got out about and hour or two too late...got out RIGHT before the storm and Lisa moved a 35 incher and had a 42 take a swipe but missed...then it rained...then the sun came out...and not much after that. Posts: 1335 Location: Chicago, Beverly | Which one Cory? The one with the Fog or the sunset? These are a couple of the first Musky pics I got with my new Olympus 400 camera. It is the "weather proof" model.. So far I am very impressed with the quality. I think I got lucky with both pics for how the backgrounds turned out. I think I need to submit them for some photo contests....
