The Wisconsin Muskie Tour's Eagle River tournament produced plenty of action and great memories for the tournament anglers on September 11 and 12. Thirty-fvie muskies were registered and plenty more were caught that were just short of the 34 inch minimum, keeping competitors very busy. A Saturday night pig roast, sponsored by Eagle River Inn, in addition to great muskie fishing, made for a remarkable tournament.

The WMT's Eagle River Chain tournament paid down ten places:

1st place: Roger Kieliszewski and Pete Skibba, both of Stevens Point
2nd place: Keith Krejci, Schofield and Brad Wirt, Brokaw
3rd place: Steve and Josh Doyen, both of Phelps
4th place: Tony Piantek Sr., Neenah and Tony Piantek Jr., Shawano
5th place: Jeff Piazza and Bob Nevoraski, both of Lake Tomahawk
6th place: Jacob Wills, Amherst and Jeff Coey, Stevens Point
7th place: Mark Van Rossum, DePere and Tom Meulemans, Greenleaf
8th place; Rick Busalacchi, Waukesha and James Busalacchi, Muskego
9th place: Ben Kinas and Bill Loeffler, both of Phillips
10th place: Josh Behm, Helenville and Lon Behm, Palmyra

I have a question. Can the person that catches that first fish keep fishing after they transport the fish across the lake and measure and release it?

Spoken just like a true guest! What's wrong with trying for another species after a musky??? Better than sitting in the boat all day watching birds.
