| anyone up for fishing Green Bay / Fox River this Sunday? (Aug. 29th) i'm going home for the weekend and plan to take my boat along. there's room for _YOU_ if you'd like to get out on the water. i'm hoping to fish from early morning until late afternoon on Sunday. although i'm from GB, i've never fished it for muskies...anyone who's able to play "guide" for a day will be handsomely rewarded with lunch, a couple beers, and much "promotion" by me on this site... and if you can't actually join me, how about posting some advice, secret locations, etc.??? | |||

| if you can't join me, can someone at least point me in the right direction - areas or tips for how to narrow down my search on this water? | |||

Posts: 5874 | It gets down to the wind. If the winds are favorable, get out on the Bay. Try the weed edges along Little Tail, Gano's, Pensaukee. Also, don't overlook inside by the University. I saw a lot of fish this year while trolling harnesses for eyes. Had one follow a planer board for about 5 minutes. Trolling will cover the most ground, and I believe is the bes option. If the wind is not favorable for the bay, then troll the river. Work the channel edges, bridge pilings. I do have a favorite bait, but I am sworn to secrecy. Sorry. I have taken a few fish on Jakes and Depthe Raiders. Let me know how you do. I can't wait to get this house stuff done, so I can spend some time there again this fall.

Posts: 2112 Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | Darn! I got some people coming to help me take down a tree this weekend. Casting? hit the strech below the dam, as well as the pilings of the rr bridge in allouze. Trolling? G.P warmwater discharge, as well as at the pulliam plant. There are shad in the river, so start with matching the hatch. I caught my first Ski up there while fishing walleye, and that's what got me hooked on them. Let me know how you do.
