On Wednesday of this week I am going to be taking the day off to take a good friend of mine muskie fishing. He has never boated a muskie and I would love to increase his odds of getting one by getting some information from those of you who are willing to share. We are going to be fishing the Randall, Mn area and I was hoping to find out which lake has been producing the best up there lately (probably Alexander or Shamineau) If anyone is willing to share any tips or advice to help us out it would be greatly appreciated.

You can e-mail me at [email protected] if you would rather not post here. Thanks in advance for any help you can give us.

If no one has any information they want to share about this area, is there any area in Minnesota that you may have some info on that would help me put this guy on some active fish?

Any help is appreciated. Once again if you do not want to post here my e-mail address is
[email protected].

Thanks again,

Tony Steffes

The Grand Rapids area has some very good smaller lakes. There are pretty consistent Metro lakes reports here, look for those. Cass and the other area lakes have been good, as has Mille Lacs.

Tony-
Moose Lake north of Deer River and the lakes west of Grand Rapids (only Pokegama [sp?] comes to mind) have muskies. John at Moose Lake Resort would probably be able to help you more. Trying to make plans to stay at that resort and fish that lake. Looks great. I heard that Inguadona was doing very well when I was in the Longville area last- late July and early August- and Wabedo before that. I was on Wabedo for a few hours when Leech was blowing hard, saw only one fish topwater.
Good Luck,
Don
