| Does anyone know if there are Muskies in the lower Chippewa river south of Eau Claire,between Eau Claire and where it dumps in to the Mississippi and can a 16 footer navigate these waters? |

There are muskies south of Eau Claire in the Chippewa. I can only speak of the area several miles south of Eau Claire as I have not fished anywhere near the Mississippi. You wouldn't have any problem with the small boat where I'm talking about. Where exactly are you hoping to go?

Location: Eau Claire, WI | From Eau Claire down to the Carryville bridge has some muskies and nice smallmouth fishing.
I have fished it some over the years but if you want good info on fishing that stretch of the river or want to look into a guided trip call Ron Douglas at Crazy D Tackle. 715-874-6996

| Thanx so much for the info,I wanted to actually start from the lake pepin area of the Mississippi and navigate up river but probobly not all the way to Eau Claire.I have been to Crazy D three times and Ron is never there,usually I stop on my way home from Packer games on Mondays.Why don't you ever hear of anybody catching any Muskies in Lake Pepin if there are Muskies in the lower Eau Claire,Is there a Dam they can't navigate past?KD |

Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin | there only 2 muskies ive hurd of caught in lake pepin and as far as i know there is no dam between the chippewa falls hydro dam all the way down to the mississippi river.but there is lots of pike in lake pepin and the tiffany bottoms and you can get in the bottoms from the mississppi river. a couple of weeks ago a buddy caught a 46" pike in lake pepin.
