Only been there once and that was last year at the outing . My advice would be WATCH OUT for reefs as rocks are everywhere BUT if your careful you should not have any problems. As far as lures you only need 4 in my book but they can add up to many. Bucktails ( Mepps tandem, little Eagletail, ect.- dark tails, silver, orange or Chart. blades), spinnerbaits 1oz to 1.5oz (done good on Chart/Chart), topwater
( jackpot, topraider, tallywacker) and jerkbaits( a Red Perch 9" Sledge (unweighted) was THE hot bait last year for me. Most of the fish came from under 5 feet of water for me, 45"er was my best caught on the Sledge. Have fun and enjoy the "Woods" . Many Pike can also be caught using the same lures, a few in the 40" range was caught last year at the outing by members of our group. A bunch in the 30-36" range.
Good luck and let us know how you did when you return, hope this helps.

I was up at Witchbay Camp the last week of July. My partner and I were rookies to LOTW and muskie fishing. The staff and some long time repeat guests put us on some real hot spots. All muskies we caught were on the wind blown points on mostly rock with some weeds. Black bucktail with orange blade, and the top raider were the only baits that put fish in the boat. We had a total of 10 muskies, 2 45ers, 1 43, the rest in the mid to high 30s. We didn't have a fish in the first two days, and it was a lot of work before we even got a follow. Then a front came through and it cooled off, and the fish turned on. Besides the the 10, we must have had 10 to 15 follows. We are hooked on muskie and we'll be back to LOTW. I stongly reccomend Witchbay Camp, the staff and onsite pros helped a lot. The food and acommidations were great. Good luck on your trip.

Just got back from a week on the lake. The fish were predominately on the rocks. In the beginning of the week the bite was on bucktails and spinner baits. Black with silver blades and a flame pattern with silver. Low light you have to throw topwater baits on the rocks. Black Creeper, Hawg Wabbler, Topraider, Tallywacker and the paintbrush looking one. Black was the color to go with. Later in the week we started to take a few fish with black and white crane baits and jerkbaits. Lots of followers and a bunch of blowups and enough chompers to make it a great week.
Be sure to take a walleye rod and get some jigs and crawlers. The walleye bite is on and the fish we caught were good eating
Wish I was going with you
