Fished Tippy on 8-18-04, Started out at 5:00 was not on the water more than ten casts and a 40+ fish blew out of the water on my jackpot. I thought alright big day a head. Next think I know its 3pm and only one small follow around the sucken Island in James. Then at about 3:30 my buddy Mike grabbed a fish on an SS Shad. 37 inch pike. Its not a ski but it got the net wet. I have fished in my new boat about 6 times and have not got a fish of my own. Guide Chris Walker broke my boat in with a 31 inch Tippy Ski last thursday and mike got the Pike. Its Killing me. I am attaching both pictures. Chris's musky has great color on it.

Well I am lucky that I am a much better golfer than fisher, since I am a golf professional. What we need is someone to come up with a musky/golf tournament. Make it 2 man teams 18 holes of golf one day and one day of fishing. My team would win hands down. Took the boat in to get my oil changed and such for the after breaking in period so I got a little time to work on my golf game. I think the first fish I will get in my boat will be a state record (notice how i didnt say musky state record) thinking about getting some b-moths and start bluegill fishing. Todd that is a great fish, way to go, that is what I like about tippy over Webster/Barbee Chain/Loon/Palinstine. You have a chance of getting a great pike. I know barbee has some in it but I think Tippy has larger pike.

Todd,

Nice pike! Randy, no where near 30 lbs, but a nice Indiana Pike for sure. My biggest is a 42.5 from James.

Golf?I say we blow up all the golf courses around the country and fill them with water and stock the daylights out of them.Last time i played golf was 20 years ago and I shot a 77.On 9 holes and I cheated.I'll drive the cart though! Steve

That fish was not 30 but every bit of 25. She was 44" and I wish the pic was better because it does not even begin to show the belly. Like my dad said, that fish has 5lbs of shad in it's belly.

If I fish Tippy, I will make sure that all my seat pedastals are in. That way PGA won't try to play the hole in my boat!

The one good thing about musky fishing, I get alot of time to practice my putting on my new boat since I had them install a putting green on the casting deck.

Todd we should get out sometime and show each other some of our spots.

i think a muskie/golf combo is a GREAT idea.
you should give this more thought...perhaps host an M1st outing next spring??? people from "up here" could get a jump on both the fishing and golfing seasons that way.

We have two course where I work. They are both $87 a piece to play (with cart) I am sure I could get the rate down to cart fee's only ($25). We arent that far from Wolf lake (The closest musky lake) but they don't have many in it. We are about 1 hour away from hedicke (lots of musky hard to catch), I would entertain any ideas. I also have leads on hotels in the area (some buddies own a couple), might even be able to get them to sponsor part of the event. Have to find a good lake. Could go over to Tippy/Webster area about 1 1/2 hours away. Just a thought.

PGA, what course do you work at? This idea sounds interesting.
