Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | When you put GregM's brains with Jomusky's good looks you come up with a musky article in this months midwest outdoors magazine! Pretty cool guys, now my dad wants to know if there is a resort on that lake, is there?

Posts: 1189 Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | umm.............err.............thanks Todd?? I was asked over a year ago by Naomi Shapiro to do a blurb on the Rice lake area for the Sept. timeframe. I obliged and did a phone interview that they printed in the Great lakes version of Fishing and Hunting news LAST fall. I'm not sure where the Jomusky referance came from, or not even familiar with Midwest Outdoors ...........a NEW Fishing and Huntign news?? I am by no means in touch with Rice Lake this season at all. With buying a trailer this spring on Cass lake, I have been sleeping 4 out of 7 nights there and not on Rice much this year honestly. I do look forward to the fall out on Rice, they get good and chunky............but also to the fall in the Bemidji area................it's that one fish that haunts me..............(HMG). Is it common in the publishing world to reprint the same articles in different publications?? I too would like to see the article. thx much.

The picture for the article features Joe holding a fish and Greg, your name is mentioed throughout along with where you work. As with any MWO article, it has the sponsor for the article. Looks like the rice lake tourism bureau paid to get this article in there.

There are plenty of newbies in the area thus lots of mishandled fish and unfortuneatly some kept ones. My main reason for accepting to do it was to hopefully drive home the CPR message, secondly as a fledgling guiding idea......... a lot sure does change in a years time as far as plans go. It's a Double-eged sword talking about a lake, but I think with the musky popularity in general ( it's unbelieveable the people that I talk to buying boats that fish for muskies) the people are coming anyway, so if they come here, hopefully they will be somewhat educated when they arrive.
