Stopped by the ol man's place after he returned from the Winnipeg river. He showed me a new walleye colored 9" dawg he was using, and the through wire construction busted inside the dawg, losing both the treble and fish. Anybody have this one happen yet?

Was it the ols style stranded wire?

I know I and others complained when they went to the solid wire, and the reason given was that they
had seen the stranded wire break a few times and thet were trying to prevent that from happening
anymore. Plus with the demand going up, they had to change the lure to make them faster.

It would be interesting to hear if it was the new solid wire?

It was the new solid wire unfortunately. I like the old 7 stand wire cause you get your dawg back in tune after something crushed it. the new ones don't have the same head roll/wag the old ones did.

i've had several failures with the old bulldawgs...the action is not as good with the new but i'd rather have it this way. I have yet to have a new one break.
