I had the pleasure to guide pgaschulz (Bob Schulz), Sunday the 25th and Monday the 27th. We hit the Barbee Chain Sunday and fished Little Barbee and Irish. Water temps were in the mid 70's. Bait fish could be found off the weedlines and in open water. Fishing started pretty slow, but as musky fishing goes, it got hot in a hurry! Weeds can still be found if you look hard enough, mostly off of main lakes points and on the inside of inside turns.

Around 3:45, Bob was throwing a white and black dot S.S. Shad and nailed a 37 at the mouth of Irish in 8 feet of water. After a few quick photos and the release, I caught a 34 just 4 cast laters on a perch Burt in the exact same spot. Fished the area pretty hard, with no other fish. Moved back to Little Barbee and had a 36 incher take a swipe at a Magic Maker in 16 feet of water. Bob also had a follow on the S.S. Shad in the back of Irish. 2 fish boated, 2 fish to the boat.

On Monday we moved to Tippy. Started a little before 6:00 am and started off on the shallow flat just outside the Marina. Moved down the shore line into 26 feet of water. Bob continued to throw his confidence bait, the S.S. Shad, and I threw the Weagle. Going down the break and casting to 6 feet, I had a typical crushing strike on the Weagle. After a nice fight, a few short runs and a few crazy jumps, we boated a nice 47. We fished Tippy for most of the morning and did not see another fish.
We moved to James and fished the sunken island with no fish to the boat. White bass were all over, and so were the muskies, we just couldn't get them going. Around noon, we moved back to the spot where I caught the 47 and made the first run, nothing. On the second run, I had a nice musky, around 45, come out and scare the hell out of me! It hit the Weagle and continued to sky rocket about 7 feet in the air. The musky hit about 10 feet from the boat, and her head was above Bob's and mine! I have never seen a musky hit a lure so hard, or jump so high!!!! As she was in the air she was head shaking like a SOB, and as soon as she hit the water, she was off. O' well, you can't catch them all!

3 fished boated, 37, 34 and 47. S.S. Shad, Burt and Weagle.

I had a blast and look forward to hitting the water again with Bob.
