Okay, I was lucky enough to hook a fish recently with my Abu Garcia MagX 6600 (the green one). Unfortunately, my drag was too tight and the reel came up lame after the battle. She went from smooth running to sounding and feeling and sounding like a rusty ol' pea-thrasher after that fish. What happened? Something gave, but not sure what.

Can anyone help me diagnose the problem? Is there a part I can order to remedy the situation and keep on hand if this were ever to happen again?

Thanks in advance!

Probaly twisted the frame of the reel , if you are going after large fish with any superbraid line use a one piece frame reel Reeldoc

They do a great job and you'll have it back in a week. Just include your name , address, daytime phone number and a description of the problem. They have fixed 2 of my reels so far this year and done a bang up job on both of them.
