| PhishKiller had some action last weekend but none in the net.
We are heading up Friday night, hopefully, and hitting the water early Saturday.
Interestingly, this is my first trip to Mille Lacs....will post if we get anything, or even if we just see fish or a pattern.
later,

| I fished it with Gregg Thomas on the 4th. First cast with a Phat Boy had a 48" lazily follow to the boat. Then not too much action until midday when I got something to take a swipe at the Stomper I was throwing. A while later (towards evening) we were drifting a weedbed and had a 44" (?) hit, miss, come back and nail it, then promptly get off. Had about a 40-42" follow as well. Oh, all on Pacemakers except the one Stomper fish. Had another follow around midday on a Bull Dawg from a mid 40s. They were really lazy until the approaching storm front arrived. We must have seen about a dozen fish just cruising anywhere from 35" to upper 40s" pushing 50". What an amazing fishery. Too bad I'm stuck down here in IL, surrounded by fricking corn fields... |

| Fished the forth on the south end, lots of 24" pike. Threw spinners, topwaters and shallow cranks across the rock reefs for 4 small muskie follows. I'm just trying to eliminate water now. I'll be back 1-2 times per week for the next month. I look forward to future reports. capt bigfish |

| I fished from 6-3pm yesterday (July 19) out of cove bay. I saw 1 small fish on a a deep rock pile, and lost one trolling. I threw spinners around rocks and deep cranks off the edges. The muskies seem to be avoiding me, they can swim but cannot hide. |
