Folks familar with William Burroughs are likely also familar with his famous "The Algebra of Need" description of opiate addiction. Me thinks there is an application of the same math to muskie fishing. Here goes...

"There is no denying the addiction. It subsists in every cell of your body. The more you have the more you do, regardless of your silly deceptions about self-discipline. The more you do the more you need. The less you have the more you want, leading to the vulgar behaviours in which you'll engage, to get what you must have. Last, the man/muskie will always make you wait, and regardless of what you give, over time, he'll eventually take everything from you."

Ok Burroughs readers, how did I do? (any Burroughs readers out there?)

Perhaps in bad taste in light of Kyle........ Don't mean to redirect attention from what's really important.

Yes, Drugstore Cowboy. The old junkie who lived upstairs.
