How was the Muskie fishing where you wet a line this weekend? I worked at the mercury marine National Walleye Tournament all weekend, with the high point being dinner with Shep and Little Nephew (who is anything but). Had a great time but no fishing. You??

Local lake levels have fluctuated 4 feet since last Thursday...They wen't from 18 inches high to 2 feel low and one gate at the dam is still partially open.... Larger fish are following but really seem to be turned off, smaller fish are eating but not in numbers.

Tried fishing suspendo's yesterday morning on a natural lake ( as opposed to resivoir ), blue sky/no wind... and caught a Gar Fish.... Needle beak S.O.B. hit harder than heck so for about 15 seconds I thought I had a nice Musky...then I saw it was one of "natures little lawn-jarts" It was then that I decided it would be more productive to go home and mow the lawn... That I was successful at...

Fun weekend none the less.

Same story as Mark. Lots of smaller fish but the big ones seem to follow lazily.Season seems to be a couple weeks behind normal. At least in this area.Ive seen this before and when they begin to go it will be fast and furious.Have caught a few suspended in open water but they have been small also.Night fishing the same.

Fishing was very weather related. Saturday had a fairly slow day until the last hour of the day. Moved a bunch of fish the last hour on Topwater and boated a 37.

Sunday morning was perfect. The fish really liked all the storms in the area. Boated a 38.5 and lost another on a Top Raider, and moved about eight other fish. When the clouds left at 12:00 the fish quit.

Topwater bite is on!!

I got out on Sat and fished some weird hours. Hit the water at 2, and had a 38" suspendo by 2:30. Didn't see another fish the rest of the evening cept for a dinker pike. Sunday, I took my old boss out in the morning, and he boated a 45" tiger!!! His biggest fish to date. I have to post the pics when I get them on the puter. He was a happy camper. We missed 3 others as well.

I found a growing confidence with bulldawgs this weekend as well. I stuck 2 pike on them this weekend, and missed a 40" class fish as well. I am liking these things more and more now that I give them some water time.

Oh yeah, and this no wake thing on Silver ROCKS!!!!! No skiers or jet rockets flying by. It has the fish kind of funky though.

Fished Webster from around 8:30-6:00, water temps were from 74-76 everywhere. Drizzled a little bit off and on during the morning but for the most part it was a great day to be on the water.

We caught 6 fish, had 5 others on and lost them and had countless follows. All fish were relating to the secondary breaks in water from 12'-22'. Jordan caught his two on a 7" Grandma (blue/white), a 28" and a nice 31.5".

Two of mine came on a Slammer drop belly glider and the other two came on top water, a 26", 32.5", 35" and a 38".

No big fish in the boat but we had a blast fishing together and giving each other a hard time.

Was in Rhinelander for my brother's wedding, and got to fish for 2 hours Friday morning.Fairly fruitfull with 2 fish in the boat, a 42" and a scrappy 34", both on a firetiger Weagle. The Muskie Gods smiled. We raised 3 others, one being a DC-10 in the mid 40's. Steve
