Location: Hoboken, NJ / North Webster, IN | Have been using the Charlie Sr. -8" inch swimbaits lately, and have had amazing success as far as follows go, but no strikes? Thing looks great in the water, and it definitely gets their attention, but I'm one move short of having some great success. Any one have a good swim bait trigger move?
Thanks,
Josh

Location: Presque Isle Wisconsin | The Charlies are the next generation of soft plastics. Most swim baits of this type are not at there best when worked with a straight retrieve in the middle of the water column. But light up when worked on the bottom with an occasional speed change. When worked at or very near the surface "skitter" them across the surface ,pull it down. pump it, make the tail break the surface and create small directional changes along with the speed changes by using your rod.The charlies that I use and did the feild testing on all caught fish with these small triggers.Muskies seem to want an erractic action in mid water column , a slower pace when the are deep, and an escape type move at or near the surface as descibed. Also I add a blade to the body when working them on the drop off good shoreline cover to slow the drop and add flash. This also helps in the mid water coloumn as when working open water. I pump and drop the bait as it works back to the boat. By changing the tail style( Iposted a pic of it a few pages back) You can create some awesome erractic moves including a very nice walk the dog movement-call or email me 715 6867155 or [email protected] for more info on the baits |

Location: Holly, MI | How about a little scent for a trigger if they are following? Pro Cure has some great ones that are like paste or butter that stay on the lure better than the liquid scents. I hope with all those follows you have some meat waiting back near the boat.
