What a great time I had out there....really really decent bunch of guys fishing the WMT and very well run. I saw everything from 40k Rangers to 12' Lund aluminums and no matter who you talked to or "shot the poop" with, nobody had attitude or looked down on anybody.

Not many legal fish registered in 2 days, but a ton of shorty's caught by everybody, we caught one so small yesterday it fit through the holes in the net!

I'm really looking forward to another event or two this year, thanks Tom and the gang at Smokeys. Yesterday the storms forced alot of us in and Smokey's really stepped up and treated us like pros.

I may not have nailed the 50", but got a trophy non-the-less!

It was definitely a great time and some great people fishing in it. We saw some fish, and raised a good 48"class fish with about an hour to go, but the bass were definitely more aggressive than the skis for us. Kly had one litterally take his fins and open up his snap to try and steal his bait!!! Oh well. They have to start biting eventually. We keep seeing lots of good fish. Just need to find out how to get them to open their yaps.

That was quite the storm in the morning. I thought I had the p!#@ scared out of me, but it was just the water leaking into my rainpants. Whew!!!! I would never have lived that one down.

Where you at the meeting yesterday and heard the story of the static discharge a guy got into his hand?

I didn't make it to the post tourney stuff. That is why you should get off the water as fast as you can. What happened to the guy?

Static charge (like a capacitor) built up in his rod, when he touched his leader and bait....boom, he got a bruised index finger and burnt thumb I believe.

The Weather was not the best for a tournament. Plenty of different wind and weather changes in a day and a half.

Lots of shorties caught on the east end with plenty of Bass also caught.

Gander Mt Guide it looks like you caught that bass in front of my brothers house. Large brown and stone house?

Pinpoint problems had our start 2 hours delayed Saturday. We switched to my paretners boat after the speed control would not work on my rig. Bummer..................

Plenty of fish raised but none in the boat for me and my partner.

KLY and Tuffy 1 raised one of the fish we worked hard and raised a few times(45 to 46-inch) but she would not eat. A couple of other ski's that went just over 40 and some good mid 30's rounded out the lookers. 11 fish up - no takers.

The heartbreak was Jimmy and Tommys fish that came early Sunday morning, 44 to 47-inches of pissed off muskie came off at the boat. 1st or 2nd place gone as fast as it happened. I bet they have a hangover today.

Lots of good people and storys.

Marty S. had his boat zapped twice, one while he was in the boat (lure holder on the rod got him) and once while ther boat was on shore. He got back to the boat and had some wires blew out completly. I think he is a lightning magnet.

All in all a very slow tourny with very little muskies caught for a 3 lake tourny. I think 12 fish total.

The 45 1/4 took first and a 42 1/2 took second, both fish were caught early while Dan and I were switching boats Saturday morning. Bummer............................

Mike,

We were in the sort of in the middle of the Bay...dont remember houses really....Bob Z and I saw you guys zoom past us Saturday morning on your way back in, about 45 minutes or so after the ease out, and Bob said,..."That #*^@ Mike, he's got one already!"

We felt like crap because we lost a few that would have gotten us in the money, but looking at the big picture, I think alot of guys could say the same thing.

Ya I worked on the motor while Dan casted.

Thats enough of this I told him, we dumped off my rig and grabbed his.

Plenty of good fish rasised by lots of good sticks.

I had about 5 good fish pinned down but could not get them to go with anything.

Thats tourny fishing..................
