| Cedar River Walleye, click the filename link right below this text, it's small and easy to miss.

| I like the file attachment feature, are you limiting files to image files? Am I able to use it now or was that just a test? |
|
| |
|
| You can use it to your heart's content. You can upload image files or .txt, .pdf, or .zip and .rar compressed archived documents. I am leery about allowing word documents right now since you can insert malicius script into them. We'll see how it goes.

| Hey Zach nice feature but your file was not a "small" one. You should be able to get a picture to under 50KB and still be of good enought quality and a lot easyer for all to download. Remember some of us have a 56K modem that is working at 33% of it's capacity.[:((] |

|
| True, I just grabbed the first file I cound find to test.
My hope is that everyone would optimize their images to the smallest possible size while still maintaining good image quality prior to upload (disk space-me, ease of viewing-you), but that may be asking too much. We CAN hope though. I can also limit file size, right now it is set at 250K. Some pdf's get large and I didn't want to constrain that too mush.

| Thanks Zach,
I really like the new setup, it's very user friendly with some excellent features. I wouldn't allow any *.doc files at all, they can certainly cause a lot of trouble as well as any executable files. Keep up the good work. |

| I have to try the image upload. I know I already sent this pic to Zach, but here it is.....A real pretty Big Sand, Vilas County fish taken in August on a Jackpot at high noon on a hot clear day. |

|
| MM,that was cool! Nice noon fish too! Jeff |

| MM and everyone you see that file was huge ( 400+ KB ) and took me over 2.5 minutes to download. So you can all see why the picture files need to be under 50KB so that all can see them. I will include one here under 50KB to see just how long that will take to download. I guess i won't LOL well it won't upload my image. :-( will have to try it later. |

|
| Sorry about the size, I thought I inserted the smaller version. I guess I really don't notice with my cable modem how long it can really take to upload or download files. |

| Zach:
What happened to posting pictures in line within the body of your post? That way there is no unknown long download time for unsuspecting dial up users. |
|
| |
|
| That would slow it down even more, beacuse you don't know it's coming and are forced to open the image to view any posts. This way you have the option to open or not, and cancel if you prefer.

| Also, you still can insert an image into the post using the idealbb code. The pic must be web accessible though. You could also upload to this board, get the web address of the image, and then point to it in the post.
