I went out to load up the boat this morning and watched to see if I seen any of the muskies jumping early and didn't see any jumping so I thought I'd just take a couple casts for bass around the lilly pads before I got out on the water and started casting for the big boys. I had a little Bass Pro Shops Slim Dog on, on the second cast it got slammed, I knew from the weight on the rod it wasn't no bass. A couple of jumps and a couple of good runs and I got him in with my 7 year old son netting a 38" ski for me. It wasn't intentional but it was a heck of a battle on a bass setup, and what a rush. You guys catch bigger ones than that, but its my biggest so far and I do have to say I was psyched. After that I broke out my muskie rod and worked a Giant Jackpot pretty hard with no luck, but it was still a heck of a start to the day

Mark, do you have a place on one of the lakes, or was that at the boat launch? I'm on Kuhn myself. A 38" from shore, nice way to start the day....

Thanks Kevin. I've got a small cottage that is my mother in laws that she's given to my wife and I on Webster Lake.

Hey Randy, he's got that big old spoon on that got a few casts but no luck with it yet. Sunday was the first day that we've really done much fishing there though, give it a little more time and maybe I'll have something cool to write you about from him
