| What baits are you putting them on?Single, treble?Lots of variables when it comes to hooks. If you could post some specific info, I'm sure there are a bunch of folks that could help. Steve |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Jake, what are you going to use the new hook for?
What size or what lure are you going to replace the hooks on?
Plenty of good hooks to buy, lots of different styles and applications. |

| Jake,
As Mike stated, there are a lot of hooks out there. For the applications you mentioned,my personal favorite is the Eagle Claw 774.It's a 4X strong hook, easy to sharpen and stays that way.Always good to check 'em throughout the day.For sizes, without doing any tinkering or doctoring,I usually stay close to the original size. I said usually because there are always exceptions.I would get a run of sizes from 1/0 to 5/0.Remember, that the size and weight of the hook can alter the action of the particular bait too. Steve |

Location: oswego, il | I like the mustad short shank hoks in the 1/0 to 3/0 sizes. the 3/0 has a hook gap as wide as any 5/0 out there. Easy to sharpen and easy to cut if you have to on a fish. |

| totally depends on the bait you are putting the hooks on, plus how you want the bait to perfrom
VMX makes some excellent hooks. I don't like Eagles, myself. |
