| I can't believe that no one that was at the Cave has mentioned the World Record that was caught on the Hounder Saturday night at Tony's. Glad to see that you were doing much better on Sunday. | |||

Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | For those of you that have not heard of the World Record caught on the Hounder made by Grey Ghost, here is the story. The light conditions just started to change, and the sun was going down. The Hounder was just setting here, when a VERY GIRTHY critter came by and smacked it. When I first saw it I knew it had the girth of about 44 inches, length about 5 and a half feet. This thing was HUGE! The monster started to swim/walk away then it realized it was hooked and not just eating and filling its face again. The beast started thrashing, and even growling at times. Finally the large beast was brought in, had to cut the hooks as she totally smashed the bait. We tried to release the hawg back into the water, but she just wouldn't swim right, so thank god for "The Midge". He spent hours with this true beast making sure the fattie was going to make it. Finally around midnight the PIGGIE was ready to be released and the HAWG swam off strong. Steve Cady (aka the girthy pig) is still swimming around somewhere, I just hope I am the lucky one next time that gets to hook into something that big! Good job Cady on getting the hooks barried in your side! It was one funny moment!!!!

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I want to know how the Midge got this (aka the girthy pig) out of the boat and into the truck. I would have liked to see the picture of this animal while hooked up. Quality photos are worth a thousand words. Any pictures to be posted? Who caught this beast? Was there a girth measurment on this monster? How did this whale released? Toss some food into the water and hope it goes for it? Great job Midge, some animals are not released easy. | That's not all that happened. Paybacks are a bad thing they say. I can take what I deserve. I admit I ask for it. But remember I can dish it as well. ______________________________________________________________________________________ On another note... Nice to know guys that I thought of as friends are more worried about pictures and making fun of me than helping out in a life threatening situation. I could have died from the injury.

Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | I was trying to help, I really really was. You mean everything to me shady, you are my world. You complete me. I can't even imagine what life would be like without you beside me every step of the way. I stayed up all night worring about you, I just wanted to hear your voice and know that you were alright. Please don't be mad at me. I need you.

| The doctor said it was one of the worst hook related accidents he had ever seen. Due to the hook penetrating such a sensitive, muscular spot it was impossible to remove without careful surgery to ensure no major organs were damaged. Again I see your response is very tongue in cheek and I'm disappointed in you Mr. Hulbert. I find your actions to be much more like Tomcat. But I guess it runs in the family. By the way Dad says he blames you for the weekend and knows he shouldn't have called you. Talk about Muskies growling!!! | |||
