Location: Downers Grove, IL |
Anyone offer any insight into fishing this lake? It's 295 acres and is between Eagle River and St. Germain. After much searching, we found a cabin to rent in mid-July for a week. Also - can use some recommendations for muskie guides who are in the area and hopefully familiar with the lake. Hopefully, she's a good fishery but in the end my buddy and I had to make the wives and kids happy first w/ location. Quality of fishing was secondary but hopefully I won't be disappointed w/ our decision.

Thanks. Jeff
|

| Good lake to take the family to. Very nice sized largemouth and crappies in there. I only fished it a few times for muskies. I have had some luck some luck on top waters. It gets very weedy during the summer. The public boat launch is a challenge which can be good or bad. There are some other real good muskie lakes in the general vicinity. Good luck.

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Good lake for crappie. Very secluded and not much boat traffic. A decent musky fishery but will be very weedy at that time of year. The lake is surrounded by awesome musky fishing in every direction, but getting in and out of the launch to switch lakes is a bit hairy. |
