Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | Try to pick your fishing times very specifically at off light times, long drizzly days and/or pre-cold front situations. If you can combine both that is better yet! That last hour before a monster storm early in the evening would be the best of all worlds! As far as location, fishing the outside of the weedlines so that you can reach over the top of the weeds, cast parallel to the weed edges, and occasionally back into the deep water. Keep your eyes open, fish were you find schools of baitfish or consistant panfish or walleye spots. The top of the food chain that you are looking for will follow all of these other fish to the same locations. Don't go charging into the spots that you intend to fish with your main boat motor. Stop a couple cast lengths away from your spot and drift into it, while you are casting, or minimally use your trolling motor to position your boat. Register for this website, everyday great information is passed back and forth on this website which could make the difference for your fish of a lifetime! Good Luck! Get a pressure gauge, and go after muskies when there is a pressure change, especially lower. Combine this with peak moon periods, and most of all, hit the lake as major weather is approaching. You know the fish is there, so I would try new baits, with new action or new colors. This is very similar to a sanctuary lake I fish in Canada where the fish really need to see something different to hit.

Posts: 1462 Location: Davenport, IA | Where are you from? 10-15 fish in a 100 acre lake sounds really hard. If theres other lakes, I would fish them. If not I would find key times like right before a big storm hits and early spring when they havent' seen a lure for awhile.

Posts: 688 Location: Northern IL | I'm with Zach,,, oh well if you got to have her.. ![]() The answer is right in your question ,,, Your "best chance" to catch a fish is 18'-22'. You must spend time in this area on the best structure situation in the lake. 100 acres is a piece of cake and you already know where the best spot in the lake is. Check all identifiable breaks and breaklines both trolling and casting using different speeds. Good luck,, I guess ![]()
