 Nice fish, man! Congratulations! I hope I come out with one that big this season! Que sera, sera. Well, I just checked out that lure, and sounds like a winner: built well, variety of colors, and most of all, that 0-3 foot running depth sounds great. Spoonplugs got everything good out past 10 feet, but for muskies, I like bigger lures that run super shallow, [let's face it, a 1 1/2" [the 500] lure might not get the attention of a musky, let alone be able to hold a hookset in one] and that sounds like the primary objective of that lure. I'll be sure to check those out. Did you say they sold them at the Top of the Hill baitshop?> Well it's about time somebody local sold some lures larger than a Poe's crankbait. So, by the way, to save time checing speeds the next time out somehwat, would it be stupid to throw a rattletrap in these backbays? Are the muskies goign to be in spawning mode through, say, easter break? My uncle's coming down and we're going out for a day or so, with some bowfishing for carp mixed in. I really want to get him into a musky, and I don't really have much expereince fishing this time of the year. I know they catch alot and some big fish on the Cave on rattletraps this time of year and earlier, and that lure being lent to fish pretty fast, seemed kinda contradictory to what I've heard. | Kyle, Your in my directory and I'll see ya soon,, One question,, Have you read Buck's "Green book"? If we do in fact fish Kinkaid together it might be helpful if you check it out before hand,, just a thought. The kids and I fished a bass lake Sat. and landed 8 with 3 19" or better.
