Hi, all any idea on what this custom box full of lures is worth as a package? My father had it custom-made in Eagle River. Lures and gear inside. It hasn't been touched in 20 years, thanks.

Sounds like one heck of a time capsule. (I bet there's some cool stuff in there.)

Wow! Big $$ there. I would take your time and seriously check on every lure in the box. Consider what muskie lures go for today. No doubt you have collectibles there, along with the box. kdawg

That is one sweet box. Probably some gems inside, as well. Do your research, don't just dump it all just to get rid of it.

Lots of years ago we were in I think Eagle Sports in Eagle River there was some custom wooden box that was like 600 bucks and my mom looked at it and said to my dad "don't let Chuck see that" (I was standing behind them) Then I started laughing and blow my cover.

Looks like a box made by a guy named Chet Myers (if memory is working) back in the late 1970's early 1980's. Popular item back then.

Yup. I had one. Great box. $350 with no lures a very long time ago.

My wife bought me one 35 years ago; it cost $400. Made in Eagle River, WI by Chet Meyers. It was too nice for me to put it in the boat, so it sat in the cabin as a display, holding a bunch of brand-new lures for 20 years. It is a cool box, but it is heavy and awkward to keep in the boat so it is not very practical. It would make a nice piece in a muskie-themed collection. I sold mine in 2014 for $400 cash and $150 in Cabell’s gift cards. It is a very nice collector's item and a sure conversation piece.
