Long story short. I'm looking to upgrade my penn rival trolling reels. I love my low profile penns but these line counters are lacking. Anybody have experience with the penn squalls? I would love fathom line counters but I won't use them enough to justify the price.

Thanks

Squall reels were great for me, I got the upgrade fever and went to Tekota reels. The tekotas are smoother and better built, but I never had a problem with the squall reels.
