| I caught what might have been a state record black crappie back in the early 90's down near coal city, IL. I ate it. I still remember the meal because they were the biggest crappie fillets I had ever seen on a plate. Had I known it was a potential record, I would have taken smaller bites... |

| I would use liquid mercury. That #*#* weighs 13.7 grams per cubic centimeter. Lead weighs 11.3 grams per cubic centimeter. Mercury is liquid, lead is solid; can't feel mercury in a fish, sure can feel lead weights in a fish.
If I were to cheat to win the boats and the cash, I wouldn't be stupid about it like those crappie guys (and those walleye guys, did you see that?!).
There's so much money/ultimate boats at stake tourney managers will have to start scanning the top weigh-ins. Wonder if they'll look for mercury.
