Is it possible to change gear ratios in a reel? I was wondering if I could change the gear ratio in an Abu Garcia Revo Torro Beast T3 hs to the current Revo Toro Rocket gear ratio. I am trying to achieve the line pickup of the rocket. Thanks

I would not have the guts to be digging around the guts of a reel. Buy what you need and call it good.

I had it done on an older 6500 style Garcia, possibly can be done you'd have to ask a reel repair guy

I had a gen 3 revo winch 5.4 to 1 switched to 6.4 to 1 by Matt's reel repair. Now, I have a great light weight 6.9 0z.,more versatile, downsizer reel that I could add to my line-up. Kdawg

Yes, the toro S, t2 beast and rocket gears are all interchangeable. I have not tried t3 beasts yet but I think they would work

The best way to go would be to leave it in the hands of Dave's Reel Repair.. He's up around Long Grove if I recall correctly.
