I was out on Sunday and decided not to go buy suckers as I haven’t gotten bit so far this year on them. Didn’t move anything the first 4 hours so I slow rolled a 10/12 bucktail I made. Had two follows in 30 mins then hooked one on the major. Water temp was 48-52 throughout the day. How late into the season have you guys caught fish on bucktails or spinnerbaits? I’ve never really thrown them after the water gets bellow the upper 50’s.

We’ve trolled spinnerbaits in mid November in Wisconsin and caught fish. Temps mid 40’s.

All the way to ice.

Any scenarios in water temps below, say, 55 where a bucktail would be your first choice?

I've seen posts over the ears when people ask "when do you stop using bucktails"? The reply "when they bounce off the ice!

In My experience you'll get action right till ice up. Bigger is better as the water cools for sure.
