Posts: 200 Location: Milwaukee, WI | Good Afternoon… so I was interested in what people do post turnover like between 55-48 degree water temp. I’ll share mine first. Usually slow rolling and pulsing a larger size spinnerbait along the weed lines in 12-15 feet of water. Walleye or perch colored. Southern Wisconsin area. Any other thoughts besides meat on a hook??

Makes sense, as it would seem as if those areas would be least affected by the turnover phenomenon.

I live on a shallow flowage. No areas much deeper than 15' and most much shallower. Does turnover actually happen in a body of water like that? I have not observed it.

Posts: 458 | It would only occur if a thermocline developed. A 15 foot flowage, probably not.

Posts: 1421 Location: Brighton CO. | Shallow Flowages are great place to fish during turnover and cold fronts and are just plain great places to fish and live all the time.(and they can have big fish too.)
