Posts: 257 Location: Madison, WI | Based on the email I received yesterday, it appears as if the vax requirement is being cancelled. Here's the email I received from Slippery Winds Lodge on Yoke Lake in NW Ontario... ---------- QuOTE ----------------------------- COVID Vaccinations no longer required! We have finally received some good news regarding the Canadian Government's COVID-19 rules and regulations for travellers to Canada. The Canadian Government is finally removing the major stumbling blocks that have been preventing many foreign citizens, whom wish to visit Canada, but were unable to do so due to the Canadian Government's COVID-19 rules and regulations for travellers entering Canada. Effective September 30th, 2022 visitors to Canada will no longer be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to enter Canada; The requirement to complete the Arrive Can application prior to arriving in Canada is also being dropped; In addition, random COVID testing at Canadian ports of entry is being discontinued. 2023 Season Slippery Winds is looking forward to our 2023 fishing season with anticipation. The lodge is sold-out for the spring walleye opener, but we have good availability in June and July. Once again we are offering a $50 per person discount to guests booking their 2023 trips and paying their deposits prior to October 31st, 2022. An additional $50 discount is available to guests paying for their trip in full prior to December 15th, 2022. Due to the higher costs of virtually all the lodge's inputs due to supply chain issues and the high levels of inflation, we are implementing a modest price increase for our 2023 season. Slippery Winds will be open from the walleye opener, Saturday, May 20th through the first week of August, 2023 Call us toll-free at 1-888-244-7453 or email us at [email protected] if you would like more information about our American-plan, fly-in fishing packages, or if you would like to reserve trip dates for you and your fishing buddies. More information is available on our web site at https://slipperywinds.com We look forward to the opportunity to host you next summer! Randy Duvell Slippery Winds Wilderness Lodge --------------------END QUOTE ---------------------- So, assuming that the info from the Slippery Winds email is correct, it looks like the border will soon be fully open, even to those who are not vaxxed. Posts: 32887 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Just spent 20 minutes removing a cat fight over politics. Gents, if we can't drop the political bull#*#* and find common ground as muskie anglers, the sport is in trouble. Right, left, democrat or republican, our interest here is muskie fishing. Politics is tearing the fabric of our society to the great detriment of us all, but should not and will not enter the conversation here unless regarding a threat to our sport. MuskieFIRST is about fishing, which we all love or we would not b here. Leave your political discourse at the door. | ||
