| Found an 85 tuffy rampage 160 for sale seems to be in pretty decent condition. Anyone have any experience with them? Pros? Cons?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Great hull that offers a good ride. Stable at rest. Check the transom carefully, and check all the decks and side tanks for soft spots. Put some pressure on the seat posts to see if they flex abnormally. If there's no engine on the boat use a small screwdriver to check the bolt holes for rot. If there is, stand on the cavitation plate to see if things are solid. If all that checks out, you should be good to go.

| I had a older Tuffy once years ago. Steve would recognize what model it was. I think it was a 18' tiller. I redid the interior and stuck a Yamaha 60 4 stroke on it and wrapped the exterior.
It was one of the best boats I owned for trolling. Many times I wish I would have hung onto it.

Location: NE WI | I have a 16 ft 1989 Maurader I bought new back when I did some parttime guiding. Great boat to fish out of with no wasted space . Handles small to mid-sized water well. I fish Green Bay with it (on nice days) but I watch the weather!! |
