Posts: 18 Location: Amsterdam, Holland | i was wondering if anyone here has any experiance with them? i want a trolling motor @ the back of my boat) but because of my boat size (sylvan 14' with a 9.9 evinrude) my transom will be verey crouded with a transom mounted motor. now i saw the navigator series wich mount on the cavitation plate of my outboard (and requires about 10" water above cavitation plate i have about 11.5") anyone experiance with the navigator series? or other thoughts? thanks in advance Ted

Posts: 27 Location: North Branch, Minnesota | Ted, I've installed a few Navigators on boats. The guys who get them swear by them and keep getting them, but I've never actually used one in the water. Joe Carlson

Posts: 27 Location: North Branch, Minnesota | Demoman, Bad news. It won't fit on a 9.9. I asked about making a plate so it would fit and he said that sometimes works, but the motor doesn't normally sit far enough into the water, so the prop isn't totally submerged. Joe
