This may be old news but if your planning a trip to Canada leave the beef products at home. Due to the mad cow deal they have banned the importation of beef into Canada. The restriction also applies to beef jerky and venison. So leave that beef at home as well as the potatoes cause they are banned also. Pork, the other white meat is allowed.

Well, gee, do you blame them. When the lights went out in New York, we blamed Canada. Then, woops, it was Cleveland.
Mad Cow hits Washington St. Blame Canada again. Woops, again. I need to get out my video of Canadian Bacon again, I guess. m

No I don't blame them The US banned Canadian beef when it was discoverd up there a couple years ago. My post was an FYI. We usually take some nice steaks to eat on our last night in camp and maybe a nice roast for the camp owners. I would hate to have to leave it at the border because of this ban. I saw sacks of spuds at the border last year and with the price of beef well let's just say I hate to see grown men cry and leaving 10# of ribeye in the trash just might do it.

Except that cow found in WA was from Canada. Not sure how it was imported here as a calf, but it was. I'm still taking my ribeyes this year to Sabaskong!

The cow that was found in Canada with mad cow that started this whole mess, originated in Montana! I took patatos across with me three times last year. Cook them first, it kills the parisite. It's not a gaurentee, but it worked for me. It is also a big time saver not having to wait for patato's to bake!

Hopefully, that will lift by opening in June. It,s definitely payback for the U.S. ban on Canadian beef, and deer. You could bring back your deer to the U.S., if you removed the spine, and brain.Removing the brain without damaging the mount is Taxidermist work, and not too many can do that. That ban was still in affect in October by the U.S. GOVT.In Ontario there are a lot of good people, who rely on the tourist industry to survive, and they are the ones who get caught in the middle of all of this. All of this over one cow in British Columbia, and one cow in the U.S. from British Columbia.
