| I don't have one but a buddy of mine does. Absolutely loves it. He pulls trailers out west for elk hunting and off roads into the moutains with it. Has had no problems with it, smooth and plenty of power. Gas mileage isn't the greatest but you don't buy that kind of a motor for mileage.
Hope that helps.

| This is a strong mtr that is very thirsty. Pretty much made for pulling but usually gets less than 10mpg in anything it comes in. Resale is only so-so as most choose the diesel for the same applications, cheaper to buy
(in a used vehicle) expensive to run (fuel) and harder on resale than the diesel(thats why they are cheaper to buy)
For the buck you may be better off in the long run with the diesel even though initial cost is higher as fuel savings are considerable and resale isn't even close and the ability to run 2-300,000 miles is more of a reality with the rattler.
Not that you asked about for a comparison but most people looking for a big puller end up making it anyways.
That said the V10 has been a good reliable engine for Ford with the above mentioned drawbacks.

| I had one in a company truck for three years and put on about 120000 with no problems. But it is a gas eating s.o.b. for the money go with a diesel you'l get better mileage and a longer lasting motor. |

Location: Apollo, PA | I have one im Ford Excursion. Great vehicle, very smooth exceleration. Can pull with the best and seat a ton of folks. ONlY drawback is gas. I get 11 miles to a gallon when I'm not towing!! Big and Safe! Wife really loves it.
No problems at all. If you can live with the gas mileage, you'll love it!
